Marketing Materials

We have three tools that many landscape contractors, garden designers and landscape architects like to use to remind their clients of the need to order and plant bulbs in the Fall and to inspire them with mouthwatering color photographs.

1. Colorblends priceless catalog

   In addition to our main catalog, we print a catalog that includes almost all of our blends and individual varieties but no prices and no Colorblends contact information. You can show the catalog to your clients--even leave it with them to browse at their leisure--without revealing the cost of the bulbs. To get what catches their eye, your clients have to go through you.

2. Marketing flyers

   Sometimes simpler is better. Our double-sided, 17" x 22" marketing flyer shows a selection of our most popular tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and crocuses. It's ideal for clients who need fewer choices, not more, and for landscapers and designers who want to keep their bulb program focused. Flyers are shipped folded for portability and easy insertion into a standard (#10) business envelope.

3. Personalized Statement Stuffers

   The purpose of these double-sided, 8 1/2" x 11" color sheets is to remind clients that spring-flowering bulbs must be ordered and planted in Fall. We call these sheets Statement Stuffers because they are easy to enclose with the statements you send to regular clients, but they have lots of other uses. The sheets are shipped folded and they have a blank area in the upper righthand corner so they can be personalized with your business name, address and phone number (you can personalize them yourself or we can do it for you).

Custom Blending

If you need a particular bulb variety or a colorblend that is not in our catalog, let us know and we may be able to help. We accept special orders for almost any commercially available flowerbulb (in multiples of 100) through September 15. After that date, we may still be able to get what you need, and we can be quite creative in coming up with a blend that will dazzle even the most finicky client come spring.

Labeling Bulbs by Client or Job Site

The only thing harder than ordering a variety of bulbs for several clients or job sites is remembering who gets what when the bulbs arrive. We can solve this problem for you by labeling the bulbs with the client name or the planting location. Your packing list will also show how the bulbs are to be distributed, simplifying your life when the time comes to prepare invoices for your clients.

Pallet Shipments

We ship large orders (generally $1,500 and up) on pallets. We label the crates and boxes by client or job site (per your request) and strap them securely in place for shipment. Your bulbs arrive in one neat package, with no risk that a box will be delayed in the UPS system. The only catch is that you need a means of getting the pallet off the truck. If you're placing a large order, please let us know if you can take a pallet.

Contractor Pickup at Our Warehouse in Connecticut

Purchase Orders

GCSAA Membership Privilege

Colorblends got its start by marketing its new concept of pre-blended tulip combinations to golf courses. As a small token of thanks to our early supporters, we extend pre-approved credit to all GCSAA members. Reserve your bulbs at your convenience. We'll invoice you after delivery in the fall.

Net 30 Terms (for Regular Customers)

We are pleased to extend credit, upon completion of a credit application, to customers we have done business with for several years. For the first two or three years, we request payment by credit card or pre-payment by check.

Personal Attention

We pride ourselves on great customer service at Colorblends. We will provide honest answers to your questions and are happy to help you solve planting or design challenges. The website is open for business 24/7 and we are in the office from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday from September through November and often on the weekends during that period. The phone lines tend to get tied up in September and October. If you get the voice mail, please leave a message. We'll get back to you as soon as we can, which is usually very quickly.
