Queen's Day

Daffodil Bulbs Queens Day

A double yellow named for the Dutch holiday that was long celebrated on April 30. (Now that the Dutch have a king, they celebrate King’s Day—on his birthday, April 27.) A beautiful, perhaps even regal daffodil.

Queen’s Day is itself a celebration of what hybridizers can achieve—a sunny, beautifully shaped flower produced by a robust bulb. Will it wait until the end of April to bloom? Probably not, but you’ll be glad to have Queen’s Day on whatever schedule it prefers.
