Our minimum order is $60
Small orders often require as much handling (or more) as large orders. In order to keep our prices wholesale, we ask for a $60 minimum for each order.
When to Order
We urge you to order early, before the middle of September. Your bulbs will be reserved and then delivered in the fall for planting. We maintain inventory into November (and often into December), but many selections sell out. We do not charge credit cards until just before your bulbs leave our warehouse in the fall.
How to Order
To reserve flowerbulbs for fall delivery and planting, you can:
If you have any questions about ordering, please email us or call 1 (888) 847-8637.
The flowerbulb crop for fall planting arrives in the U.S. in mid-September. We begin delivering bulbs during the last week of September.
Planting time for tulips, daffodils, crocuses and other spring-flowering bulbs is late September through December—when soil temperatures drop to about 55 degrees F. We ship to colder areas first, working our way south (and west) as the weather cools.
If you would like us to deliver your bulbs at a particular time, let us know. Toward the end of the checkout process on this website, you will have the option of selecting a delivery week. If you do not select a delivery week, we will deliver your order according to your USDA Zone and the weather in your area.
Small package orders are shipped via UPS or FedEx. Pallet orders go by LTL carrier. Shipping charges are listed below. Even after adding shipping charges, you’ll find that our prices are some of the most competitive in the industry. And remember: no traffic to fight, no waiting, no gas money, no parking charges. You get high-quality flowerbulbs delivered to your place of business or your front door.

In the wake of a U.S. Supreme Court decision in June 2018, Colorblends is now required to collect sales tax on shipments to the following states, unless we are presented with an exempt certificate (see below).
During order checkout, we will calculate your estimated tax based on the current state sales tax rate for the shipping address
The date your order goes into our warehouse for packing and shipping, the actual sales tax, including any county or municipal taxes, will be calculated. If you are paying by credit card, the charge to your card will include this amount. Customers with terms will see this amount on their invoices.
If you are purchasing bulbs for resale, as is the case for most landscape contractors, you may file a Tax Exemption Certificate. Purchasing agents for tax exempt organizations, municipalities, and state, federal and tribal governments also may file an Exemption Certificate.
The Exemption Certificate form is available on this website in two places:
- If you are logged in, click on the yellow button that bears your name at the top of every page to see your account information. Then click on the tab labeled “Tax Forms.” There you will find a button labeled “Create an Exemption Certificate.”
- At the bottom of the “Payment” page during checkout, you will see a button labeled “Create an Exemption Certificate.”
You will need the resale or exempt identification number issued by your state to complete the form.
Exempt organizations need file an Exemption Certificate only once per year. If you have filed a certificate with us, it will be so noted on the site and on any confirmation emails, pdfs or paperwork associated with your orders. You may file an Exemption Certificate at any time until your order ships. After a paid order goes into our warehouse for packing and shipping, we may not be able to claw back sales tax.
If you need help filling out the Exemption Certificate form or have any questions regarding sales tax, please email us or call us at 1 (888) 847-8637.
For prices on large quantities or varieties that do not appear in the Colorblends catalog or on this website, please call 1 (888) 847-8637 and ask for Tim.
Purchase orders are accepted from approved institutions, companies and organizations. Government agencies, cities, states, counties, and public schools are automatically approved. Call us at 1 (888) 847-8637 for details.
